The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This is a great shot. I love the big birds but don't have a lot of Great Egrets here in the PNW that I can get very close to. But we do have a lot of Sandhill Cranes & Great Blue Herons that I've been able to get. Where did you shoot this at if I may ask?

Thank you! We have a lot of them here, they love the salt water marshes. This particular one was shot by the intercoastal here.
